As already mentioned on other pages, the club is open to both expert and novice, and everyone who fits in between.

The novice turner is not encouraged to stand and watch, but rather, to get onto one of the lathes and have a go, always with one of the more experienced turners present to help though.

Everyone learns at their own pace, so no one is pushed to learn faster.

One of the more interesting ways of learning is the "Show of Work". This takes place normally monthly and is an evening where everyone brings in a piece of work.

The piece of work could be a favourite piece, or it could be a piece that keeps going wrong. Either way, all the pieces get discussed with one of the common questions "how did you do that"? Everyone though, is there to help.

Why not come along to one of the Wednesday meetings? It may be the start of a really enjoyable hobby.
